GIVE

Generous giving is essential to the lifestyle of a spirit-filled, mature believer. We believe that in response to all that God has done and continues to do in our lives, the least we can do is give God a portion of what he has blessed and trusted us with. We call this spiritual principle stewardship.

Part of being a wise or good steward of our resources is being obedient to God’s word and giving back his tenth, better known as the tithe (10% of our income).

Malachi 3:10 tells God’s people to, “Bring the whole tithe to the storehouses, that there may food in my house. ‘Test me in this,’ says the Lord Almighty, ‘and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.’”

The book of wisdom, Proverbs 3:9-10, reminds us to, “Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the first fruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine.”

Jesus our Lord and Savior encouraged us to, “Give and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will be poured into your lap. For the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” (Luke 6:38)
